Teachers spend significant time with students, understanding their strengths, weaknesses, and interests. This unique position makes them the first to recognize a student's potential and guide them in directions they may excel in. Teachers can help cultivate aspirations early, assisting students in visualizing career goals
and motivating them to work towards them. This initiative aims to empower teachers nationwide by equipping them with essential career guidance skills, enabling them to guide students toward well-informed educational and career paths.
This certification training program is offered by IITM Pravartak in partnership with BodhBridge. BodhBridge Education is a company run by IIT Madras alumni. They have been in the career guidance space for the last 10 years. During the last 5 years, BodhBridge has been working with IIT Madras on different projects involving career guidance for rural children. Through this certification training, teachers will gain a comprehensive understanding of the current educational landscape and the various career pathways available for students. They will also receive hands-on guidance on essential counseling techniques to better support and inspire students to make informed career choices.

This practical training program includes modules on career guidance essentials, self-assessment techniques, and resources tailored for school environments. This Foundation level training program is delivered online and the proposed curriculum is given below:

- Introduction to MCMF Career Guidance Framework
- How can a self-assessment tool be used to identify personal strengths?
- Discussion on Top 100 Career Options in Demand
- How do we guide students to choose the right course?
- How do we guide students to choose the right college?
- Understanding the different competitive exams & scholarship opportunities
- Basics of Career Counseling
- Certification will be provided based on the performance in the post-training assessment

What is the cost of this training?
The training program is completely free of cost and open to all participants (Teachers, College Faculty, Educators, and Counsellors). All the training materials will be given for free of cost.
Note: Please note that attending the training alone will not entitle you to a certificate.
How to get certified?
1. Register for the certification exam 2. Pay a fee of Rs. 1000 (Incl. GST) 3. Attend the post-training assessment 4. You will receive the certificate from IITM Pravartak if you meet the required performance criteria (50% in the post-training assessment).
The certification is optional and only applicable to those who choose to register for the exam.

Participation in this certification program is free to all teachers and we strongly encourage teachers from various subjects and disciplines to attend. School Teachers and educators can register for this course and attend online.
